In My Good Books
Tuesday September 14th, 2021 with Pat Moore
Final show - a few stories, a few Delmar and Cecil skits, and a final goodbye.

Welcome to in my good books for Tuesday, Sept 14. Wow, half way into September already. I sure hope the first half of the month has gone well for you. Today is the final episode of In My Good Books as I have decided to put my energies elsewhere. If you have been listening, you already know this – and the challenge of getting approval to read copywritten material. I would like to thank Louise Penny who empathized with the concept of reading to listeners in hopes that those who need a change from worrying about the pandemic would escape into the world of being read to, and allowed me to read from her wonderful series about Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, in the fictional town on Three Pines in the Eastern Townships of beautiful Quebec. I encourage you to get into this series if you haven’t already. Read them in order – that’s the best way to go. I’d also like to thank my sister Anne Nagy, who read The Silent Summer of Kyle McGinley, and Ruth Stewart-Verger for sending me some stories, a few other folks, and last but not least, my brother John Moore, who has been penning stories from his homestead in South Frontenac. Today, I’m going to begin with a short story apparently written by Katherine Hepburn – it’s actually a recollection from her childhood, and it’s a heart-touching story. Then we will move on to a story from John Moore, one I played for you a few months back, called The Stone Age, which I had fun recording, with sound effects to boot! I’ll end the show with a couple of comedy skits by Delmar McGreggor and Cecil Wiggins, and finally the beautiful voices of Quartette.
