Reading A Fatal Grace by Louise Penny - the final chapters. Hey folks, this is the start of funding drive - please donate on line to keep YOUR radio station and your favourite shows going for another year! Bringing your community to your ears.

Well well well.... Today marks a very important event…it’s the first week of the CKCU annual funding drive, and it’s a drive with a difference because due to the pandemic, we can’t set up a phone room. After considering all the options, we decided that the best way to accept your kind donations would be on line, at www.ckcufm.com. The website is set up so that you don’t have to look for it – you’ll see our colourful splash page with the optional link to donate as soon as you arrive to the site. If you’ve already completed your donation for this year, or wish to do it later, there is also a button which will take you into the website. Despite the pandemic our staff and volunteers are working hard and successfully to bring you relevant community programming – the kind of shows you ask for. Your donation will help us to keep CKCU on the air for another year. CKCU – your radio station. Thank you for your donations. Today’s episode of In My Good Books will bring us to the conclusion of A Fatal Grace. Last episode we started to see things tie together. We know who killed Elle, and we know she was CC’s mother, and had been a close friend of the 3 Graces – Kate, Em, and Mother. They still care very much about her. We saw Lemieux and Bouvoir bond over hockey. We heard Gamache and Rein Marie talk about the Arnot case; we learned that Arnot was a Senior Cop, and he and a few cops were caught dirty handed. Gamache was the only one of the “inner group” who felt it was not right to let them go off and kill themselves rather than to have the information become public and risk the embarrassment of their families and the surete. That got Gamache on the dark side of the “inner group”, no longer an esteemed colleague to some of them. And now for the conclusion of A Fatal Grace by Louise Penny.
