This week, the Joshes venture into the abyss of Peak TV and how hard it is to know what to watch. Both have seen some of Robia Rashid's autism-related sitcom from Netflix called Atypical, and they have kind words about the show's hopeful outlook about connecting with people, as well as Nik Dodani, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Michael Rapaport's performances. The bulk of time is spent on the new Disney+ Star Wars show The Mandalorian, created by Jon Favreau and starring Pedro Pascal. The digressions include the pros and cons of Disney+ itself, Gargoyles, Werner Herzog's relative fear of Favreau and volcanoes, great close-ups of helmetface, and more. The most enthusiastic rep screening shouts were to Alien (1979) playing tonight at Lansdowne, and 24 Hour Party People (2002) playing Friday at South Keys.
