I think to improve the city's night life in Ottawa they should turn Ottawa over to a sin city like New Orleans, Boobs, beads, booze.......Bayou Town on the Rideau Canal, with Dow's Bayou. The Byward Brothel district and two French quarters with both Lowest Town and Vanier. That's 50% more French than New Orleans. Release some gators in the canal in the summer to cut down on the Canada geese....We could be New Orleans North, NON.

Drove down there with a friend... stopped in Nashville, Bluebird Cafe changed my life! Bécane instant 100% fan of singer songwriter music, then Memphis , Sun Studios, Graceland.. everybody should do this road.trip. dont wait for nuées!

Saw Dr John at Montréal Jazz Fest. Gave him cigarillo backstage. Saw him smoke it on Musique Plus (MuchMusic quebec) after. That was pretty cool. Very proud of that

Oh, sorry, but, must brag again, just remembered. And this is Riot territory. The best part of New Orléans Jazz Fest is seeing Zachary Richard sing in ENGLISH from midnight to 2 am.in the most swanpy beer soaked floor ive ever seen, and being stuck not able to leave not even on foot! Because of the brass band in the street. Such a great memory! Complètement capoté esti! New Orléans is.the place guys

Southern Fried Blues '96 was all authentic New Orleans food vendors so the food was out of this world every day. It was also the first of many years that Bill Wharton Blues Band played. Bill is The Sauce Boss!!! I still have an 8x10 photo of The Sauce Boss whaling on his guitar in full white chef's outfit complete with the big white floppy chef's hat bouncing away. Every show he had assistants bringing out bags of crawdads, peppers, shrimp more peppers and many, many bottles of his signature hot sauce (sideline business) into a huge cast iron 20 gallon pot at the front of the stage wihich cooked away throughout the show which he would stir with a canoe paddle throughout the show. At the end of every show he passed out bowls of this wild signature New Orleans Gumbo to anyone who walked up to get a bowl from the stage. And for the record.......it was wildly delicious. So like I said, Bill's picture is on my kitchen wall above the dining table and all of his CDs are in the rack in my hallway. BEST YEAR EVER FOR BLUESFEST!!!
