The horse community in Ottawa and Gatineau was shocked recently by the loss of a local large-animal veterinarian. Dr. Andrea Kelly's death highlights the stresses faced by people working in the veterinary profession. In April 2021 Hera Mustafa and I spoke with Dr. Colleen Best, a veterinarian and veterinary epidemiologist, about these issues.
