Jen Hollington was an executive in the federal public service responsible for communications at Health Canada in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic when some abdominal pain took her to an ER. In a matter of hours, she went from executive to person with ovarian cancer. As she took leave to deal with the disease, she began a blog called Jenesis. She's written daily about the disease and her life ever since.
