The gift of life: organ donation by living donors, with liver donor Heather Badenoch

Heather Badenoch donated 22% of her liver in 2018, to a child in need of a liver transplant. Currently, many people remain in need of donor organs, and living donors can provide a kidney or a piece of their liver, saving lives and reducing the wait list for those waiting for an organ from a deceased donor. For example, Sherri Barr of Perth is in need of a liver transplant after being diagnosed with primary biliary cholangitis in 2014. A donor with A+ or O blood type between the ages of 18-60 could change her life.
