Really enjoying this set - some amazing music! The Flaps is the only one I have so far. Very cool.

Hey Mark! I believe Richard coined the phrase "Prog Lounge" for your show -- pretty apt. If it is not already trademarked by either ye or he, i'll take it!! q;^) Will there be any John Zorn / The Gift, or Lounge Lizards??

The Lounge Lizards are great and maybe some of Alan Jenkins Experimental Surf Music or Surf covers of Zappa

Really enjoyed the Tikiyaki Orchestra, are they in any way linked to The Tiki Tones, who had a similar sound? Must search for their stuff.

oh no not PeterB again
Mr. Ho's Orchestrotica (on just now) kills. Really interesting shape-shifting instrumentation. Wally: "Alan Jenkins Experimental Surf Music or Surf covers of Zappa" HOLY CRAP, more happy homework!! Do tell more -- label, how to find??? . Mark: Actually, Zorn / The Gift would be right up this back alley!

Doing a bit of digging on the Tikiyaki Orchestra and I see one name Jonpaul that played with the Insect Surfers & Eddie played with Chewy Marble & Brian who also played in Chewy Marble & The Wondermints which are all amazing bands. They go on my shopping list. Thanks for the discovery!

COOL Wally, thanks! Will do. (But not while Tiki-Man's killer shooooow is on.) I trust you also listen to This Island Earth and/or Loosely Connected. I am very tempted to totally unabashedly rip off the 'Prog Lounge' (tm) (c) theme for one of those. Shhhhhhhhh, don't tell Mark. ;^)
