Today we will speak with an author who has just written a book about a woman with disabilities. We will also have some songs from the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin as well as some items not mentioned on our last show as we simply ran out of time!
Author Ravi Malhotra'santhology "Disability Politics in the Global Economy, Essays in Honour of Marta Russell" will be launched on Thursday September 20 4:00 p.m. Human Rights Research and Education Centre 5th Floor, Fauteaux Hall. University of Ottawa. The launch will also involve a panel of speakers, food and volunteers to assist those who may need some assistance. The Human Rights Research and Education Centre has a website where more information about the book can be found. The book is now available on paperback and at the launch.
