Braille, Snow, New Year's Resolutions and music!

Kim and Shelley Ann are going to share some tips on how to cope with snow--walking in it, snowbanks, and finding services that help you cope. We'll also talk a little about Braille and New Year's Resolution--with plenty of music to go along with today's topics, too.

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! Robert, Emily and I would like to invite you to participate in the Ottawa Para-Nordic Program this year. The program will be held at the Mooney’s Bay Ski Centre (2960 Riverside Drive) every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. as long as conditions permit. We will begin the program this Tuesday, January 5. The program is for anyone with a disability who would like to learn to cross-country ski and to get active in the winter. If you would like to join us for the entire season, you will have to register for Kanata Nordic’s Para-Nordic Program, which unfortunately has not been set up yet. We will let you know when registration is available. The entire program will cost about $100. For those who do not have their own skis, Mooney’s Bay has ski rentals. The cost is about $20. There are also trail fees of $3 per day or $33 for the season. For this Tuesday, we would like to invite everyone out to try skiing or to be introduced to the program free of charge (except for ski rentals and trail fees). Please let me know if you are planning to attend or if you know of anyone who might be interested in trying out cross-country skiing this winter. Thank you. Margarita
