This year, 85 songwriters will perform brand-new songs on one of the following topics and perform them in free concerts in Ottawa, Almonte and Gananoque: Each participant will perform their new Song-Along song and one other song they have written. Ottawa Song-Along Concerts * Thursday, April 10 at 7:00 pm – hosted by Christophe Elie * Friday, April 11 at 7:00 pm – hosted by Peter Rutherford * Saturday, April 12 at 7:00 pm – hosted by Chris White Christophe Elie, Peter Rutherford and Chris White are organizing and hosting the Ottawa Song-Along concerts. 47 songwriters will be performing in the Ottawa event. Moose McGuire's 3320 McCarthy Road (at Paul Anka Drive), Ottawa Admission is free. Donations are welcome. Doors open at 5 pm – come for dinner! ------ About Song-Along ------ Song-Along is a celebration of songwriting. For the participants, it's an interesting and enjoyable songwriting challenge, and a chance to meet other songwriters in their community and hear their work. For the audience, it's an entertaining show that provides opportunities to see where different songwriters can go from the same starting point. Song-Along is not a contest or a competition. There is no evaluation or judging. There are no entry requirements or prizes. It is not a seminar or workshop. There is no instruction or critique, and no panel of experts. It is not a benefit concert or a music industry showcase. There are no fees to participate in the event or attend the concerts. Song-Along is, above all, for fun. It is meant to promote creativity and self-expression for all songwriters, from novices to professionals. It also encourages camaraderie and networking in the songwriting community. The concerts are engaging and inspiring, even magical. The goal for the 2026 Song-Along is to hold *26 concerts* across the country and beyond – a new world record!
