Hip-hop artist Mischa is excited to announce the rollout of her lively and provocative new single, “One Up.” Set to be released February 22nd, 2022, she collaborates with Ottawa hitmaker, Quest, to offer up the empowering musical entity that is her latest release. Staying true to her bold and unapologetic persona, the upbeat nature of this track has you non-stop bopping your head to the pulsating beat. Establishing her name as an influential female emcee, “One Up” falls into the memorability of mainstream sounds while using her one-of-a-kind charm to convey sensual lyrics with a heavy-hitting delivery. Focusing on the song’s narrative, she hints that texting may not be powerful enough to capture one another’s desires, so Mischa has to ‘put it in a song’ to truly get her needs out there. It's being recorded mostly live off the floor, with no click track or autotune. And yet, for an album such as this, a little grit is appropriate.
