Their goal is to raise $25,000 for the Centre while also creating awareness of the charity and its mission.

Hope Heals is a fundraising campaign lead by students and faculty from the Algonquin College Public Relations (ACPR) program, in keeping with the program’s custom of choosing a valuable local charity and launching fundraiser efforts on their behalf each year. This year, the ACPR students under the “Hope Heals” campaign (a student branded campaign) will be hosting multiple events, starting in March, to raise funds and awareness for The Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma (CTSACT). The objective of the Hope Heals campaign is to raise awareness and money for the Centre.

The Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma is a charity that strives to enhance the health and well being of all people in the community through: group, couple, and one-on-one therapy. The Centre offers a multitude of services such as, group therapy, individual therapy, couples’ therapy, and dialectal behaviour therapy. With a weekly intake of 50-70 people, they have services tailored to meet the needs of every person they help, while still only having 14 employees.
