Tyler Kealey EP Release
Live on Elgin! 220 Elgin St. Ottawa

"I’ve been working on recording a few tunes with Eric Eggleston over the last 2 years - finally, they’ve all come together and I’m excited to release them on a new EP called Mozart Candy.

The album was made with more of a white album approach where random moments were stitched together with produced ones. A lot of the music was born out of the spirit of not overthinking things, and going with the inspiration of the moment.

WHERE | Live on Elgin, Ottawa
TIME | 2:30PM
TICKETS | $15 advance/ $20 at the door
- includes a copy of the EP!

Joining me will be my trio, plus special guests the Eric Eggleston band.

ABOUT TYLER KEALEY & ERIC EGGLESTON

Tyler Kealey:

Known for his vocal prowess and fast-flying improvisational piano solos, Tyler Kealey is a singer-songwriter who collects little moments in the everyday and brings them to life through his songs. With sharp, storytelling lyrics and melodic piano lines that lean into folk just as much as they do blues and rock, each performance takes the audience on a journey of untamed adventure.

Just as at home on a festival stage as he is in a listening room; Tyler’s energy, charisma, and raw talent on his instrument have made him a favorite within the Ottawa music scene and beyond.

Eric Eggleston:

Just before the dawn of Facebook, the Eric Eggleston Band toured and performed all over, including the US, across Canada, Scandinavia and in Killarney, Ireland, where they had the pleasure of performing at Sir Elton John's afterparty.

Since then, Eric’s created a production house, Johnny Hall Productions, where he collaborates, writes and produces tracks with artists in many genres. Eric recently released an album titled “The Human Crush.” Top Of The Hill from the album was featured in an episode of TNT cop show Rizzoli & Isles and the track ‘Listen To Your Bodycells’ can be heard lots here on Ottawa radio.

"Montreal’s dark pearl Thus Owls is releasing their fourth full-length album The Mountain That We Live Upon on September 28th. Nine tracks, composed for four guitars, drums and voice, that questions creation from an artistic as well as a biological point of view. What does motherhood, parenthood and artistry mean and what happens in the wake of our choices? From a jazz-oriented, avant-garde rock with chanted poetry, one version and one reality takes shape. The unmistakable sound of Erika and Simon Angell carries and brings forward this larger version of Thus Owls into a dynamic, open and free sound where love stands undoubted."

The Commotions have sidestepped the lightweight pop craze and taken the back roads straight into the hearts of their loyal followers, earning unwavering support from the true lovers of genuine, unsullied soul music. This 12-piece, sharply dressed, original throwback to the days of Motown is an evolved collection of Canada's top funk & jazz players.

Fronting the band is both Rebecca Noelle (La Voix, The Peptides, David Gogo, and The Rumours) and Jeff Rogers (The Cooper Brothers and Silver Creek) on vocals. Both musicians have very successful careers on their own but have decided to bring their talents to the project.
