Big Little Lions have continuously been recognized for their writing. Including 1st place in the International Songwriting Competition, Song of the Year in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition and Ensemble of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Award.

Their upcoming Ottawa show which is a PUBLIC House Concert on Friday, March 23rd
They play the Folkus Concert Series on Saturday, March 24th (matinee from 3 to 4 pm and evening show at 8 pm) in Almonte. Outside I'm a Giant (from Hull) opens the evening show.

Their live performance features Paul playing drums, bass and piano at the same time, while Helen plays the guitar and foot percussion - quite the feat to see!!!
Their new album sees a blending of organic instrumentation and electronic elements, and there is a beat driving throughout the album.
- Helen is based on Vancouver Island and Paul is based in CIncinatti so album was written via emails
- Helen won a Juno in 2014 for Children’s Album of the Year

The Barrel Boys are excited to be making their debut appearance at the iconic Black Sheep Inn. This 5-piece string band from Toronto is known for its tight harmonies, quick picking, and killer songwriting. Informed by bluegrass, old tyme, and classic country, The Boys have crafted their own unmistakeable sound into an exuberant and deeply soulful musical experience.

The legendary Sheesham Crowe will be opening the concert, and is sure to join The Barrel Boys for a tune or two.
