http://jeremyfisherjunior.com/ The album came together naturally in Fisher’s studio, The Sugar Shack, located steps from the back door of his home in Ottawa. He recorded many of the instruments himself, bringing in guests such as Catriona Sturton on vocals and harmonica, Petr Cancura on sax, clarinet and flute and recorded a chorus of 16 young singers to back him up on the sing-along choruses. |

Tania, Morgan, pianist Nadia Boucher and 2 singers join me in the studio to perform live 2 opera arias from their production of Cendrillon Cendrillon at Glebe-St. James United Church on February 15, 17 and 18 650 Lyon St S, Ottawa, ON K1S 3Z7 South Ottawa Performing Arts Collaborative - SOPAC Ottawa. Co-owned and artistically guided by Morgan Strickland and Tania Granata, They are moving forward into their 2nd season after much success last year with their double bill production of SuorAngelica & Pagliacci. The South Ottawa Performing Arts Collaborative, known as SOPAC Ottawa, is getting ready to stage its second major production in February. An innovative performing arts collective, SOPAC is mounting Massenet's French-Language comedic opera Cendrillon at Glebe St. James United Church on February 15, 17 and 18. True to the timeless fairy tale classic commonly known as Cinderella, this production is fully staged and presented in French with English subtitles. Chosen for its universal appeal, Cendrillon will be an engaging production that capitalizes on a melodious score, comedic relief, and true Cinderella experience. With beautiful costumes and energetic staging, the story, transposed to a modern time period with all the magic of the original fairy tale, is sure to play to full houses in bilingual Ottawa and will be a must-see event during its February run. SOPAC has two principal objectives. Firstly, the collective works to provide professional-calibre training and performance opportunities for aspiring and professional musicians alike. In addition, SOPAC delights audiences with shows that are accessible, interesting, and feature top-level professional performers hired from both here at home in Ottawa and across North America. |
