Showcasing women in music from Ottawa and beyond each month performing in the round at Irene's Pub, 885 Bank St. Hosted by Julie Corrigan Sponsored by CKCU 93.1 FM, Red Leaf Music, and Ottawa Gig Posters.

Lindsay Ferguson:

“The Wakefield singer-songwriter with the striking voice takes a bold step on her third album “Chameleon,” broadening her folky campfire roots with rhythmically pulsing songs that aren’t always as sweet and pretty as they sound. Powerful stuff.

— Lynn Saxberg; Entertainment Writer, The Ottawa Citizen

Entering her tenth year as a full time musician, Lindsay spends her time between Canada and Switzerland, playing various venues, festivals and more! With the release of her first record "Sound." in 2007 she garnered much attention, going on to win an award for Ottawa’s “Best New Artist” of 2008, a Canada Council for the Arts Songwriting Grant in 2009 and enough money in 2010 through NewCap Radio’s “The Big Money Shot” to record her second full length album “Monkeys Under Stars” released in June 2011. Lindsay was voted "Best Singer & Song-writer" in Wakefield Quebec in 2012 and her song "Lose My Grip" was nominated for the Colleen Peterson Song-Writing award 2012 as well as placing her as an International Finalist for the NewSong Music Contest also in 2012.

Dawn Pritchard:

Dawn Pritchard, of Wakefield, Quebec, is a singer, songwriter, guitar player. She released her second album, "Catch Me if You Can" on November 5, 2016 at the Blacksheep Inn, Wakefield, QC. Her songs are groovy, ambient and sonically beautiful.

A Metis from Saskatoon, Dawn started playing rock and roll guitar as a pre-teen. Just before high school graduation, Dawn loaded up her Fender Strat, quit school and went on the road with the Rockin' T-Birds. After arriving in Toronto, she joined the Kovergirlz, an all female hard rock band playing the circuit in and around Toronto. In spite of playing some great venues, Dawn still feels wistful for the fact that Kovergirlz never played the Gasworks on Young Street.

Julie Corrigan:

Born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, Julie Corrigan is a soulful, country, roots, singer/songwriter hailing from the small town of Shawville Quebec. Her first full length album The Language, recorded in Ottawa at Little Bullhorn Studios with producer Dave Draves (Kathleen Edwards, Howe Gelb) was #1 at CKCU for 2015.
