Jesse Stewart pop up show Monday, March 27th CUAG / DOME Pop-up performance with Jesse Stewart, “Turning the Tables” To celebrate CUAG’s 25th anniversary and Carleton University’s 75th anniversary, CUAG has commissioned Jesse Stewart, an award-winning musician, sound artist, community builder and Carleton music professor, to create a series of live performances and sound installations. These performances are happening inside Stewart’s portable geodesic dome, set up at different sites on the Carleton campus throughout 2017. Turning the Tables, Stewart’s second performance, takes place at CUAG, from 7 to 8 p.m. on March 27th. Stewart’s performance will consist of multiple record players converted into kinetic sound sculptures. Visitors are welcome to interact with the installation, changing the volume and speed of each turntable in a co-creative improvisatory musical performance. Inspired by the current exhibition "Making Radio Space in 1930s Canada," Stewart will also be using old CBC radio broadcast recordings on vinyl! ************************************************************ Tonight, Monday 27th, Doors at 8pm The Telegrams are at Irene's, Western swing and Honkey Tonk tunes *************************************************** Tonight, Monday 27th, Live Band Karaoke at Bar Robo, Starts at 8pm, no cover Sing Karaoke tunes with a live band. Where the Watermelons Grow, April 15th with The Noisy Locomotive & Chloé Laberge
"Nik Field's debut solo album Where the Watermelons Grow brings together the sights, sounds and familiar faces that have defined him as a songwriter. Influences of John Prine, Paul Simon, early Tom Waits, and traditional folk music inspire this diverse set of original songs, each with a compelling story to tell. Where the Watermelons Grow is self-produced, recorded and mixed, and is as honest as they come."

Noisy Locomotive: After a busy year filled with farming, heritage carpentry and touring around the world with the circus, they're in Ottawa for one very special show in April to celebrate the release of their newest album "Chloé Laberge & The Noisy Locomotive". Trevor and Ben will also be joining Nik Field Music on stage for the release of his new album "Where the Watermelons Grow".
