Carleton University Art Gallery Presents a Pop-Up Performance Series Featuring Jesse Stewart The Carleton University Art Gallery (CUAG) will present Hooked on Bibliophonics, the first of five live performances by Jesse Stewart in the CUAG / DOME Pop-Up series, taking place across campus throughout 2017. When: Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, from noon to 1 p.m. Where: MacOdrum Library’s main floor, Carleton University, Ottawa Info: This event is free and open to the public. The performance takes place inside Stewart’s portable geodesic dome and will feature a “bibliophone,” a xylophone-like instrument made by Stewart out of amplified books. This is an interactive event: anyone is welcome to pick up some mallets and join Stewart in jamming on the bibliophone! To celebrate CUAG’s 25th anniversary and Carleton University’s 75th anniversary, CUAG commissioned the Juno award-winning artist to create live performances and sound installations.
