Women In International Security-Carleton University is holding a donation drive for a women's shelter in Ottawa. They are collecting female hygienic and other toiletries as well as gently used purses. There is a donation box in the NPSIA Resource Office (The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs), 5306 River Building until December 10th and there will be tables in the Atrium on Dec 5 and 6th from 11 am-2 pm. 16 days of activism 2016 From 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day, the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world. And you’re all invited! Cover is ‘by donation’ (aka tip jar) and acoustic instruments of any shape size or pattern (even ukuleles) and singing voices are invited as well (songbooks provided)

He’ll start and end the evening with a brief set of his originals, but the rest of the night belongs to everyone there!

Jolliest Jinglebell Sing along 2016
Saturday, December 10 at 11:30 AM - 4 PM at Southminster Church, just off Bank street south of Landowne, 15 Alymer Avenue
11:30 am for music and the record breaking singalong of Jinglebells. The current record is 488 people made on 2012 in Albany New York.
An enchanting collection of bells will be available for purchase along with christmas gift bags for that unique gift for that someone special until 4 pm. Goal is to launch an accessible music program.
Vivian Sollows is organizing this event which takes place during Ochsfest.
