Funding for unique musical events/experiments
Call to musicians, promoters and music entrepreneurs for 2017 JUNO Host Committee projects

A new one-time funding program that will enable the capital’s musicians, promoters and other music entrepreneurs to develop and present unique musical experiences throughout the city in early 2017.

At a glance:
Application deadline: Wednesday, November 30, 2016;
A total of $30,000 in project funding is available;
Events will be funded at a minimum of $500 and up to a maximum of $2000 each;
All events must take place within one of Ottawa’s 23 wards;
Events must be held between January 1, 2017 to March 26, 2017

OMIC:
The Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) is a not-for-profit, membership-based organization dedicated to growing the city’s music industry for the benefit of its artists, businesses, and the city as a whole. OMIC is committed to bringing together members of the local music communities, along with its municipal and provincial partners, to work toward common goals, including:

Developing audiences for Ottawa music on local, national and international levels
Supporting the development of the region’s artists, entrepreneurs and other music professionals
Building Ottawa’s music networks within and beyond the city
Advocating for the local music industry to government, industry and institutional partners
