Jack Pine and Cory and Matt from The John Punch Band join us for a chat in the studio about their double release slow.
On Sept 25th, not one but TWO new local Ottawa releases will be launched:

The John Punch Band's First Full-Length Album is

Jack Pine's Debut Solo Release is...

Plus LIVE ART by Sean Hyatt!!

JACK PINE :: Lone Wolf EP
Stepping back from the warm comfort of The Fire, Ottawa musician, Jack Pine will release his solo debut. LONE WOLF is four songs by Gareth Auden-Hole (aka Jack Pine), performed live and raw in Kinburn, ON. The EP features a deep-seated respect for nature, wry sense of humour, empathy for the underdog, and a mandolin...playing furiously, then softly.

THE JOHN PUNCH BAND :: Rocks and Minerals
After releasing their first EP, Exclaim! had this to say:
“Fences Have Been Planted, Thorns Have Been Built is a compelling five-track EP that reads like a tacit promise of a follow-up full-length album worth waiting for.” The wait is over.
Ten years in to the game, The John Punch Band are releasing their first full-length album, ROCKS AND MINERALS. The album's 11 new songs are inspired in part by current issues of the environment, war and human rights. Featuring ensembles of violins, banjos, horns and pedal steels, the album brings diverse instrumentation to an alternative folk style. Rocks and Minerals was recorded by Gareth Auden-Hole at his weeVOXsound studio.

Sean Hyatt :: Live Art!!
Sean Hyatt is the artist behind the album artwork for both CDs as well as the event poster. He'll be showing his artwork all night StAlbans to browse and purchase.
PLUS - Sean will be creating art in front of your very eyes during the show!! The art work he creates, you can take home!!
