A new Canadian Indie Film Series Launches March 4th, in Ottawa March 6th. First to grace the screens as the Series gets started THE VALLEY BELOW is a micro-budget indie film by writer and director, Kyle Thomas. The movie itself is a beautiful, minimalist meditation on life in Drumheller, Alberta. Visually stunning, it features four captivating vignettes - each scored by a different Canadian musician (Rae Spoon, Dan Mangan, Eamon McGrath and The Wooden Sky's Gavin Gardiner). Of particular note - Dan Mangan, currently on tour and who played the NAC Feb 27th, also wrote the original song Wants for the film which has been nominated for a CSA. |
