This broadcast is a tribute to the late Professor Hans Eichner, RSC/CRS (b. 1921 in Vienna, Austria); d. 2009 in Guelph, Canada), and to Art historian Dr. Louise Straus-Ernst (b. 1893 in Cologne, Germany; d. 1944 in Oświęcim/Auschwitz, Poland). • Celebrating a life saved from Nazi persecution at a cultural event that took place in Ottawa, under the aegis of 'Kirche und Kultur unter einem D.A.CH. with the generous support of the Austria Embassy Ottawa. • Remembering a life lost because of the Holocaust, with a radio essay by Dr. Klemens Klemmer, CKCU-Literary News correspondent in Germany.
