As usual, I was hoping for inspiration for a feature, and it came in the form of a loaner - Robert Wyatt's 2007 solo 'Comic Opera', an absolutely stunning effort, very much in the vein his brilliance has taken him since hs early '70's work. Then, after getting 'heavy' with bands like Earthless and Earth (yes, I played them back-to-back for the irony), we descend into the experimental, and emerge into the Jazz and prog world, with a bit of crazy chamber/post-rock to finish. One day I'll get back to the heavy-rockin/punk... maybe next time!
