Chant Records Releases: The Modulators and Event Horizon!!
The Chant Records material never stops hitting the Nightwatch wheelhouse!! Also, somethings heavy, some things jammy, some things jazz!
Drivetime is the latest album from ultra-prolific madman keyboardist Brian Marsella and presents the debut of The Modulators, with Reid Taylor on bass and Kenny Grohowski on drums, featuring special guests Cyro Baptista on percussion and Jon Irabagon on clarinet, Interesting to note - despite what your ears may tell you, no guitars were used in the making of this album! |

Event Horizon is a collaboration between Greg Cohen (a sought after bass player, collaborating with everyone from Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson to Laurie Anderson and John Zorn) and Randi Pontoppidan ( Danish vocalist, improviser and composer who has worked with Paul Hillier, Else Torp, Theatre of Voices among many others). Cohen and Pontoppidan recorded ‘Space Geode’ on one November day in a dark room in Berlin called The Funkhaus, once the headquarters for East Berlin Radio. |
