Not Really!

The only features tonight are the lead-off cuts, commemorating the debut CD (and performance) of Not Really, and another 'In Memoriam' for avante-garde bassoon and Oboe player Lindsay Cooper, in the form of one of a rarity from one of her first commercially released band - Comus! Other than that, it's the usual swirling mix of psychedelia and jazz-tinged rock.
Start in with a new release from a band that played their debut at Cafe Luneta this past Friday - Not Really. No, Really, 'Not Really'...!

A much longer set than expected..... but the songs mixed so well, I couldn't interrupt them. Now to the 'In Memoriam' Portion: Lindsay Cooper, english bassoon and Oboe player passed away at the far-too-early age of 62. She was a member of Comus, Henry Cow, The Feminist Improvising Group, News From Babel, David Thomas & the Pedestrians, Maarten Altena Octet and many solo projects. In honour we play an only-recently-released recording of The Malgaard Suite by Comus.

And finishing off the 'watch with the entire Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh by Magma. An appropriate finish!
