I thought I would be doing this show after having just lost my job as a part time Research Assistant in the Physics Department here at Carleton University (I'm a full time student as well). Things turned out not quite so dire, but it's still a little touch and go because of, of all things, an accounting error on the part of the university (nothing to do with the project itself or anything I had done... or not done). Anyway, the first set and a bit was music that was going to console me if the worst had happened (and they're bloody good songs to boot regardless of the situation) and bring my mood back up to par with juicy tunes. I also finally found my Splendora CD (one of my favourite dollar bin CDs!)... it was in another CD case. I guess I put it there so it wouldn't get scratched and forgot about it. Well, today's the time to spin a few tracks from it in celebration!
