Women doing "blue", who didn't let their past roles destroy their present and future contributions: Hedy Lamarr, Catherine Ringer, Sunny Leone, Sasha Grey (with an Ottawa connection even). Also a musical spotlight on one of my favourite artists from Argentina who made it big as a comedian and morphed into a successful musician: Juana Molina. A few words will also be spoken on neutrinos (with an Ottawa connection even, heh), why people drop science classes, and some recent science and engineering related news. Lastly, but not leastly, I'll be premiering a song from UK singer/songwriter Josie Charlwood's latest (released January 25th!) EP "Look Up" where her vocals and piano is joined this time by two others on double bass and drums/percussion respectively.

Apollo 1: Jan. 27 Marks Anniversary of Launch Test Fire on Spacecraft That Killed 3 Astronauts - Roger B. Chaffee, Virgil "Gus" Grissom and Edward White II were killed in an explosion during a simulated countdown on Jan. 27, 1967. It was the first time U.S. astronauts died in a spacecraft.
