The Passionate Friar

Calling a "do over" because of technical problems last week!
Yeah, we were moved back to the main "On Air" studio last week with the new sound boards (which were a great choice, btw, they are just the right amount of swank: very high quality but relatively inexpensive given that they are professional broadcast equipment), but they replaced the CD players as well and I didn't realize that they had until I showed up in the studio. That led to a number of technical challenges as I had grown accustomed to features on the older players that I could not figure out right away on the new ones. Because they were professional equipment as well, I knew the new ones would likely be able to do what I wanted, but it took me most of the show to decipher a manual for them I found online. What used to take a couple of button presses on the front panels, now required navigating several layers of cryptic menus and selecting unobvious options. Anyway, to make a long story short, there were teething pains and I wanted a do over this week now that I know I can set things up the way I need. Short story long? Anything by Dickens.
