Canada's own Phil Nimmons: The Atlantic Suite, Suite PEI, and Tributes

Phil Nimmons has been one of Canada's most prominent jazz musicians, garnering many awards over his career. One of his best known recordings was "The Atlantic Suite" (1975) by Nimmons ‘N’ Nine Plus Six, for which he won a Juno award. Also we'll listen to his "Suite P.E.I." (1973) and "Tributes" (1979). We'll take a listen to this compilation double album in nearly its entirety, and reflect a bit on Nimmons' life and career.
