Australian Soul Jazz, Canadian Reggae, Rimarimba (UK), Joni Haastrup (Nigeria), Mediterranean Electronics

We begin with selections from the new compilation "Sunny Side Up", a snapshot of the contemporary jazz scene in Melbourne, Australia, curated by Gilles Peterson. It's being billed as the down under version to last year's excellent and successful "We Out Here", also on Brownswood and spearheaded by Peterson. Also, cuts from Allysha Joy, Mildlife and a few Australian soul/jazz "oldies" from the 70s.
