Speaking of Flamenco... Buika -- flamenco / fado / spanish-afro-jazz -- was FANTASTIC at JazzFest on Friday, at Chalmers venue. CROIKY! What a set of pipes!! Did not see any familiar faces, but hopefully some were there for it too.

Yes, very cool. Will almost certainly play some of Buika's stuff on Midweek this Weds Jul 02 12:00. (Am a fill-in for it.) But do have to admit the recordings do not quite keep up with the live voice, as is often the case for "big pipes" vocalists.
