Hi Rob, Just got back from a run--luckily we got in just before the rain really started. Haven't heard that Joe Jackson song in a LONG time! Really enjoying the music this afternoon.

Yep, I had to dig up this ol' Joe Jackson tracka nd blow the dust off of it. Wonderful piano playing on it. The rain, of course, sucks!

Jeeze, just looked it up. It's from 1982. More than thirty years old, that song!

Oh well, I'm not made of sugar. I feel very lucky that I am able to run--so many others cannot. Some of the world music I have heard on T.I.E. has ended up on various playlists. Very inspiring for sure. thank you. As for the Joe Jackson song I feel really ancient now -- that song was popular during my last year of high school. Age SCHMAGE!

That puts us in pretty much the same ballpark. Personally, I'm trying to fight old age by being as childish as possible.

If I remember correctly, Nusrat was unhappy his music was used in this film!

Good ear, David! Natural Born Killers; I guess I can see why. But it's an awesome track nevertheless.

Loved the sax in the jajouka piece. One of the most enjoyable TIEs I have listened to. Thanks!

Oh thank goodness! I was a little worried there that I might have Zorned out all the listeners. Glad to hear that at least one of you made it!

Coming up: chinese and japanese dub with Jah Wobble and a rare appearance on the show by Mr. Iggy Pop. I'll let you puzzle out how I am managing to include Iggy in a world music show. I promise it will be tasty.
