He was admitted to St. Stephen’s Hospital in Delhi for COVID-19 where he suffered two heart attacks on Sunday. If Rahman’s music was about the future of Bollywood sound, Nadeem Akhtar Saifi and Shravan Kumar Rathod’s tunes spoke of the influences of the previous decades, particularly Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Rathod died on April 22 from Covid-19 in Mumbai. He was 66.
