Hour 1 - Ambient Music for An Immersive Art Exhibit (Van Gogh perhaps) Hour 2 - Kate Bush's Aerial A Sky of Honey and some other songs

Back in July, my brother (legendary Ottawa DJ Jim Reilly) was working to put together some music that could work in an immersive art exhibit, like Banksy 360 or Van Gogh 360 at the Aberdeen Pavillon, running until Labour Day. https://banksy360.com/home/ottawa/ https://vangogh360.com/home/ottawa/ I decided to do the same and put together a 40 minute set that I thought could provide good aural accompaniment to someone viewing this kind of exhibition. It's not synched to any of the exhibits in Ottawa and certainly would not work in the Banksy exhibit, which requires and uses quotes from the artist Banksy as well as newsreel coverage of his street art. But it makes for a good listen... well if you ask me. In the second hour tonight we spin most of Kate Bush's Aerial: A Sky of Honey. This beautiful suite of music chronicles a day in the life... of Kate Bush... sort of. It follows someone through a day, spending much time outdoors with birds, viewing the sky, enjoying the seaside and then gazing at the night sky as it drifts into another day. It's an amazing collection of songs tied together in this lovely suite. Then we spin a couple of songs from Bartees Strange's album Farm To Table. He opened for Metric on Saturday night at the National Arts Centre and put on a great show.
