Today we get to know African-American singer-songwriter Bartees Strange, who will be the opening act for Metric at the National Arts Centre this Saturday, August 27th. Bartees released his second album, Farm To Table, this summer and we talk about the themes he's exploring on this recording: ranging from working through anxiety, challenging consumerism, Black identity in America and lots about family. Bartees is not confined by genres when he writes and records and we talk about how his album covers a lot of musical ground.
