Monday September 5th, 2022 with Joe Reilly
Music from artists coming to Ottawa this week and some new releases - including several from the Sadies latest album

In hour one we play some great tunes by artists coming to Ottawa this week. Kathleen Edwards is at CityFolk on Thursday, Sept. 8th. Check out the full CityFolk Festival lineup here: https://cityfolkfestival.com/schedule-cityfolk/ On Thursday you can also check out Joel Gibb of The Hidden Cameras in a special solo performance at Club SAW. Use the links below for ticket information for that special show and for more information about the Hidden Cameras. https://www.ticketweb.ca/event/the-hidden-cameras-matty-grace-club-saw-tickets/12217975?pl=spectrasonic https://www.thehiddencameras.com And you can check out the group Living Hour on Friday night, Sept. 9th at Club SAW. The group has a new album out and we play 3 songs that highlight their lo-fi pop sounds. Check out the ticket link and the band website link below. https://www.ticketweb.ca/event/living-hour-fiamma-deliverables-club-saw-tickets/12235445?pl=spectrasonic https://www.livinghourband.com Then we get into some new releases during Hour 2, and play several songs from the newest album by the Sadies. The group is still dealing with the death of band member Dallas Good - who died suddenly due to a coronary incident in mid-February. Check out the link below to a lovely tribute video the group created for the song No One's Listening - which we feature on the show tonight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lw5laxbPrS8 Thanks for tuning in and ensuring that SOMEONE is listening to the Wavelength... haha. Stay well and take care.

I was listening (at a moderate level) but had to turn up the amp when you played the Sadies. Thanks a lot! Nice mix, by the way: Sadies / Morricone / Lord Huron! Have you heard the tribute to Dallas by the Rambling Ambassadors (from about 10 yrs. ago): Dallas B. Good?

To correct myself (and to allow better searching): "Dallas B. Goode" by the Ramblin' Ambassadors (with Brent J. Cooper, formerly of Huevos Rancheros). Thanks again.

Hi Richie and Hillbilly... .thanks for listening and chiming in! I have two albums by the Ramblin' Ambassadors but that song is not on either of them so I will need to dig it up. Sadies are a great band (they will do a tour without Dallas) and Dallas will be greatly missed on the Canadian music scene.
