Jeff Blackman joins Susan to talk about the 241 Poetry Open Mic, a series he co-founded with Bardia Sinae. The next edition takes place Thursday September 29, 7:00pm, at the Happy Goat, 35 Laurel Street. Want to perform? Come prepared to perform perform one poem you love plus one poem you wrote. Venue is accessible for those with mobility limitations and features a gender neutral bathroom. CKCU and the Ottawa International Writers Festival are collaborating to bring you the best of Writersfest. During the pandemic, Writersfest went virtual, and we’re working with the organizers to bring highlights from these interviews to you over the next while. Today, we’ll feature a conversation between two writers, Janet Somerville and Heather Marshall, in an interview about Heather Marshall’s book, Looking for Jane.
