You have a great weekend/Remembrance Day as well. Celebrate freedom because some people paid that account for us.. with their lives. "In Flanders Fields..." Goodnight everybody!!

Remembrance Day
Yes, Remembrance Day is an important day. It should be recognised as a National (Statutory)Holiday. This way we could properly celebrate the lives and accomplishments of all those who went to war for us.

Agree
I do agree with the Listener above. It's high time that Remembrance Day be recognized as a National/Statutory Holiday. We need to properly celebrate the Bravery and Patriotism of all our fallen soldiers and our living Legends/living Veterans!!

O'Shea, tu as un bon Jour du Souvenir. Love the show last night! How do you know about the song “Evening Time”??? Wow, I think your spirit must have lived in the Island(JA) some time or the other. You are a true grafted J’can. For you to know that song…..it shows that you are the Boss of Classic Vintage tunes.(A Guru in Vintage reggae music) That’s why we love you so much!! We click with you! Can I be your soldier girl….to watch over you, love and take care of you??

I must say that I echo these thoughts that continued to trickle in well after Vintage Love was over. For sure we should celebrate anniversaries such as Canada Day like we do but why is it even possible to celebrate Canada? No reason other than those who fought and died and those who continue to fight for our freedom to do so. In my opinion this should be the biggest national holiday/national celebration in this country. It is a day where all Canadians, new or old, regardless of religion, culture, background or belief, should celebrate the ability to enjoy their lives in the manner of their choosing. Everyone who has come to this great land has come here for a reason. I would suggest that one of the biggest reasons is freedom and freedom has a tremendous price. Many paid that price with their lives. No, I don’t celebrate war but I enjoy freedom as I am sure you do also. There is no more worthy a day to celebrate than this day, November 11. There are no more worthy people to commemorate than these people. There is no better time to honour, remember and thank those for the freedoms we have and the things we too often take for granted. There are no words to adequately express thanks to those who live and those who died fighting for our freedom.
