On this weeks show... since it is the first "official" weekend of summer (which I don't subscribe to this at all).. if it is hot in April and May... to me... we are in summer. But alas... the dreaded summer solstice... which means from here on the days get shorter and shorter... Blast!! We just got here. Aww.. serenity now.. serenity now. I digress... So we started off the show welcoming summer 2023 with some Kool and The Gang with a great song, an instrumental piece of gold called, "Summer Madness", which if you are a Hip Hop fan you will know that Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince sampled this song to create a masterpiece of their own, "Summertime", which was released back in 1991 and so beautifully captures the essence, the joy and the vibe of when the weather turns warm. Sing with me... "Here it is a groove slightly transformed, just a bit of a break from the norm. Just a little something..." (Hip Hop heads you know you can take it from there - Haha). A classic and also a Grammy Award winning song, also in 1991. Ya gotta loooove music!
