A lovely night here in the Nations Capital. I hope you are enjoying your weekend and getting out and enjoying all the great things that we have here to enjoy in the GOA. Whatever your weekend holds... driving, camping, chillin'... whatever it is.. Thank you so much for taking the time to tune into CKCU 93.1FM and/or ckcufm.com We could not do radio with you so... a BIG thanks to you all for remembering us and tuning in to check out what we do here on Saturday nights. Tonight starting off with a great version of "Rivers Of Babylon" by Andy Bassford. Following that a couple of tunes dedicated to anyone listening who is going through some or any, in fact.. hardship. We all go through something many points in our lives.. so this set is for you.. hopefully giving you some encouragement to keep on keepin on. We then moved into the Late Great John Holt with 'After All Said And Done' a great version of that song. Then some heavy weights in Reggae music.... Sanchez, Terry Linen, Mikey Spice, Sadiki, Etana and Jimmy Lindsay with a sweet sweet version of "Easy" (Like Sunday Mawnin'). This week marked the 5th anniversary of my Pops passing... so (by the way love you Dad)... I thought I would play some Merrymen for him.. he LOOOOOOVed this song and as soon as the record started to play... I can still here his bellowing voice singing along with some crazy harmony.. haha... such great memories. So Pops.. this one is for you... "Beautiful Barbados". :-) I hope you enjoyed this edition of Vintage Love and I hope you will come back again to visit with us next Saturday night.. or whatever Saturday nights that you can listen in. Oh yes.. you can still find it.. and I have a few cases at home. Ya baby!!! Love Tahiti Treat... cant believe you remember that drink. The only time my mom would let me drink soda.... I would find a can in my lunch on field trips. Anyway... waxing nostalgic here... yep.. I have a stash. :-)

O'Shea, what made you change the color of the show's logo from purple to red? :-)

Well the former logo the station used was not the official logo of the show. So I wanted there to be some consistency and requested the change. Would like to change the red color as to me it makes the image etc. hard to see but at least the logos are now consistent. Hopefully we will change the color to something lighter soon. But for now.. i am very happy that the logos are now consistent across my stuff and the stations stuff. :-) Thank you for asking.
