Sooo many thoughts.. if ya could turn back the hands of time. Looking back... ya might do somethings differently. Thus the title of this show. In a reflective mood I guess.... I almost titled this show, "Melancholy Til Midnight Pt.2" with respect to a show we did many years ago.. but didnt really fit so... "If I'd Only Known It Then" seemed better. Ahh... The Wonder Years.... Anyway... Thank you for tuning into VL tonight. It is just awesome.. amazing to have you tuning in and spending this time enjoying music with me. Thank you so much for that privilege and honor. Greetings out to everyone in Fitzroy coming to you from Zack and Braden... who are listening to the show around the campfire (and I am jealous). They requested some Marley & The Wailers and we added it to the playlist with thanks for calling in that request. We also played some Bliss tonight.. with a great cover of "Just One Look". I asked if any of you believed in love at first sight and the resounding answer on the IM, by phone, by email and I suspect if letters were coming in via Canada Post the answer would still be.. no! :-( But Bliss believes it and sings this great tune... about that first look and what that did. Claudia... we welcome you to Ottawa to the GOA and hope you enjoy your time here, the spa AND Vintage Love. Claudia wanted to hear some Beres and so for you we played one of the many BH chunes that will fill a dance floor anywhere.. anytime... "Rockaway" from the album "Music Is Life"... and isnt it true. For Andrews' mom, we played some Boris Gardiner with "Your Are Everything To Me".. more for the title than for the lyrics but hopefully the point came across. You Ms. Ricarda are loved and cherished and we celebrate you tonight via Andrew. The rewind for Don Campbells tune, "Rise" following Phoebe One on the same riddim.. well.. that was for me. That song is just hitting me right now.. so I couldnt resist to wheel it back for myself.. hope you did not mind. Music is life... yes.. oh yes! As we moved to the weather, we listened to two great songs.. by Jagged Edge and by Sygnature... great great R&B songs as we looked forward to the first week (well not really looking forward but.. ya) of the school year and the dreaded (at least for me) Back To School business. yuck!!! :-( We ended off the show with some Sanchez, a big tune from Romain Virgo and what a song by Christoper Martin.. "Better Than The Stars".... I enjoyed very much being here with you and I hope you enjoyed these flyin' by 2 hours as well. Until next time... wishing you the best in life and true love...
