Ladies and Gentlemen, it is not possible to please everyone although I do try to make each episode of Vintage Love something that anyone/everyone would enjoy. But there will always be critics, criticizers.. people who love and people who hate and all in between.
One of the things from Vintage Love's inception that was important to me was to create a place where you could expect a certain level of professionalism and to prepare a place for you/us to come and relax, enjoy good music and good vibes. I have tried my best to stay away from music with cursing, music that is derogatory and lyrics that otherwise do not suit the style of show that these 12 years have been built on.
If that is the type of music you enjoy, then great. On my own some of it I enjoy too. However, I made a promise to myself and to the station that as long as this show exists, I will abide by the rules of what I believe is "Responsible Radio" since who knows when impressionable minds might be listening.
So with that I remain tied to the foundation of what I call, "Responsible Radio" and I stay tied to the idea of a place where you can turn on, tune in and not worry if kids are around or if people who are not familiar with Reggae are around.. a virtual place for any and everyone.
Let this stay a positive place where good vibes, free from the label of "Parental Advisories", are required. Only singing, dancing, reminiscing and loving.
To this end... thank you Vintage Lovers for supporting the show for these past 12 years. It was an experiment that I did not think would last but here we are... and I have enjoyed every minute as I hope you have. I have no doubt that it will end one day... but not yet. And until such time.... positive, loving and uplifting vibes is what we ah play on dis show.
