Vintage Love
Saturday October 10th, 2015 with O'shea Adagio
On The Menu

Another Thanksgiving is upon us. Another opportunity (hopefully taken frequently and not just at this time of the year) to ponder those many things that we have to be thankful for. I hope VL is a highlight of your weekend and whatever you are doing I hope it is a pleasant background soundtrack to the goingz on on your Saturday night. Featuring artists such as Bingie Barker, Tarrus Riley, Ed Robinson, Ammoye and many more. Music to excite the senses as the smell of all those special dishes will excite the palette... like the Brontasorous burger did to Fred, when you get together with family and friends to enjoy food, each others company and the thankfulness of the many blessings enjoyed. Thank you for tuning in and I hope to see you again next Saturday night at 10pm for a show of just slow Caribbean soul as we begin to prepare for the Annual Funding Drive. If you enjoy the music that we play here on VL, I hope you will help to support its survival on CKCU 93.1FM. I look forward to hearing from you in the coming weeks as much as I hear from you on the other 49 weeks of the year. Until next time... be safe and Happy Thanksgiving to all you Canadian listeners and Vintage Love fans out there at home and abroad. Remember, the election is coming up and the day to make your voice heard is Oct. 19th. Be thankful for all of the sacrifices that young men and women made.. in many cases laying down their lives so that we could enjoy the things we do and one of those things is to vote of our own conscious. So please... as we also approach Remembrance Day 2015... lets vote on mass and make those lives that secured and continue to secure our lives and freedoms echo in joy across the ages as we exercise what those who passed for this privilege, now cannot. October 19th... although no one party or leader is perfect... do your homework and vote for what and who you think is best for the coming future of our country. Let your voice be heard. Good night, God bless and thankfulness for radio, for CKCU and for you who make it possible for me to enjoy this passion of mine and to share it with you... that which is Music! Empowering Name
Maybe the Jays should change their name to something more menacing! (Toronto Vipers, or Toronto Wolves maybe). Blue jays sounds too meek and mild!:-).

Not sure if the name would make a difference.. they just have to go out and do their best.. continue to have fun and let the chips fall where they may. They certainly seem to have increased the national pride and that... that is awesome no matter the outcome.

11:42 PM, October 10th, 2015
!:-)
Ok. I guess so! (...."let the chips fall where they may" ...). You do love that line! I know you incorporate that saying in your life as well! (I hope your chips fall on me!
