The most sincere thanks to those of you who donated and those who pledged your support for Vintage Love on CKCU 93.1FM. YOU are the reason why Vintage Love has survived for 10+ years. Without yours and hopefully others support to come, VL would cease to exist. So.... THANK YOU!!! Thank you to allll (and you know who you are), past and present supporters of Vintage Love, for keeping VL alive and for allowing me to live out my childhood dream of playing music for you and the world, over the radio waves and the world wide web. When Vintage Love started, I thought it would only be for a few months, until the regular shows returned when the academic year began again but due to your calls, your support and specifically your donations through Vintage Love.... CKCU was gently nudged (by you) to allow the show to continue, to grow, expand and become what it has; a staple in the programming schedule for 10 strong years of good radio on CKCU. We have seen lots of things come and go over these 10 yrs; lives begun (with claims that this was apparently Vintage Loves fault :-)ha ha ), lives lost, new artists and the passing of many legends that we have come to love on VL: The Cool Ruler, Hopeton Lewis, Bunny Ruggs, Alton Ellis, Jean Adebambo, Sugar Minott, John Holt and my friend Joel Chin from VP Records who was taken far before his time.. and sooo many others within the world of Reggae music. We have grown together, danced together, sung together, reminisced together, celebrated birthdays, weddings, babies and generally have lived, loved, laughed and cried TOGETHER. This, for my part, is what makes us this great big world-wide family, Vintage Love International. To whatever end, I do thank you all.. those who could give... 5 or 500 & those who sincerely wished too but could not. THANK YOU FOR THESE MOST AMAZING 10 YEARS! I hope for Vintage Love to continue to serve you and grow for another 10. I and the Vintage Love Team has done all we can to provide you with the best product that we can... we have left it all on the field for you. And now... now.... it really is... simply.... up to you.
