The first set of music tonight... some gospel for you as we celebrate Easter. Some old Caribbean Gospel songs that may bring back memories of church our parents and/or grandparents singing and playing these tunes. Unfortunately during this set of music - which was a shock to me, a Caribbean lady called and complained about this being a Reggae show and not a Gospel show... which threw me for quite a loop as she was not overly friendly in this complaint. In any event, I think Gospel music is a big part of the Caribbean, West Indian experience growing up and we do "Play With Those Memories Again" on this show so I am hoping she was a newer listener as this show focuses on Reggae music but we do touch many other genres as well. Anyway, for the rest of you, I hope you enjoyed this set of Caribbean Gospel to help celebrate this Easter 2014.
To the lady who called thank you for calling and for your comments, I do appreciate them. I also do believe though that.... "The Wold Has Music For Those Who Listen" ~ TABU True ting!!! |

Running around town on Thursday night, picking up a few last minute things for the weekend at a local grocery store. I ran into a lady who hadnt heard the show before but said she would listen for the first time on Saturday night. I asked her what she would like to hear and she requested some Bob Marley and The Wailers. So hopefully you were listening and enjoyed the show. This next track goes out to my new Food Basics friend. |
