Welcome to this first "detour" show of 2014. Putting aside Reggae and Lovers Rock tonight, for the most part and making way for some Soul, R&B and Slow Jams... as we slow it down for all the lovers in the house. VL Marauding
love the title!! VL listeners always tune in at night (until midnight)...hence the "Midnight"... and he word maraud means to loot/hunt/search, and O'shea "maraud your ears". 'Midnight Marauder' because O'shea/Vintage Love are like sound thieves "looting for your ears." That's my take on the title... am I close O'shea? I think O'shea might be a Tribe Called Quest fan...I love it!

haha... ya you are very close. And yes... I LOVE A Tribe Called Quest. Brings back great memories, Tribe, De La, The Jungle Brothers... The whole Native Tongues Family. Probably my favorite era in Hip Hop. Something you probably dont know.. wayyyyy back when... I used to be in a Hip Hop group in Toronto. A group called Rhythm, Ethics & Poetry (REP). We changed our name to Oasis (prior to the rock band who became famous).. back then we had some songs on radio in TO. Back in the days man... such great memories. Ya, I love Hip Hop to... Tribe of course! We got the Jazz.. We got the jazz.... :-)
