Queen Latina! I’m a fan! Also like when she sings Jazz—loved the Equalizer. Tom Verlaine—that’s a name I heard on CKCU. Yes, sad when people who gave us our ‘soundtrack’ pass away.

Steve Kirkland (host)
Hi Shelley, Queen Latifah's got plenty to say worth listening to... I haven't seen The Equalizer, although I loved the original version with Edward Woodward

The beat is so capital in r n r. Determines the basic character of the song. I was hearing some cut that Candace (Candyshop) was almost excusing herself for playing another time, while I had my 'phones on, walking down the street. The song had a *perfect* fast walking beat. I thought Candace that's why, it's perfect walking music. The music WAS good. But the beat was fundamental.

Steve Kirkland (host)
Fundamentally speaking, I agree B. Enjoy your Saturday night out...
