Contains excerpts from Ron Moores’ interview with James King in 1999 at the Ottawa Police Association Hall during King’s “Valley ‘Grass” winter concert tour and selections from King’s recordings with the super-band “Longview”.
His work with “Longview” produced some of the best traditional bluegrass in recent decades and his last album, 2013’s Three Chords and the Truth, received a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album. In September 2014, he was inducted into the Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame.
